“People will sit here for hours and hours,” says designer Rebecca Hay, motioning to a solid maple wood dining table that seats 12. “We’ll drink wine and have conversations — it really feels like an inviting space where you want to stay for a long period of time.” Using a balanced blend of traditional and contemporary design elements, the aesthetic is a nod to the home’s 100-year-old history.
