Kick off to Summer 2019

Summer is on its way!

It’s almost HERE! The big May 24 (aka “TWO-FOUR”) as it’s affectionately known in these parts north of the border. It’s also known as Victoria Day weekend, the weekend where we Canadians kick off summer - rain or shine, frost or heat wave.

The tradition in my family is to head up north to our family cottage about 2-3 hours (traffic dependent) north of the city. We plant all the flowers and take the sheets off the windows to officially kick start summer. I realize planting flowers this early in the season can be a gamble but when summer is this short it’s worth the risk.

This week I’m sharing the YouTube video I made last year of my weekend up north. It’s a first hand view of what it’s like to travel with kids, work in the rain and indulge in a little RnR.

BONUS: You’ll also see the design and decor transformation of my family cottage!

You can watch the video here and let me know in the comments below if your long weekend is anything like mine.

Happy May 2-4 everyone!

Cheers,

Rebecca
